Dr. LaShandra N. Morgan

Dr. LaShandra N. Morgan is the Project Director of the Breathe Easy Tri-County Coalition in Charleston, SC, and the Manager of the Tri-County Health Network in Orangeburg, SC. Her work primarily focuses on using community voice to achieve health equity through results-based accountability. In addition to giving rise to community voice, Dr. Morgan serves as a voice for the community by communicating on their behalf in various coalitions. She believes the best ways to achieve health equity are through "meaningful" community engagement, trust building, powersharing, and collaborating with community partners. 

Dr. Morgan has served on the Berkeley County Prevention Board; Healthy Tri-County Coalition as the Diabetes Coalition Chair and as a member of the Obesity, Nutrition, and Physical Activity Subcommittee; the Smoke-Free Lowcountry Coalition, where she served as Vice President; and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), Inc. Bethune Leonard Section, where she has served as the Health Committee Chair, to name a few. Currently, Dr. Morgan is a member of NCNW's National Health Equity Committee.
