ABOUT STATE OF BLACK HEALTH
PRESENTED BY THE CENTER FOR BLACK HEALTH & EQUITY
The State of Black Health conference is where hundreds of community leaders and equity advocates from every background come to address themes and find solutions for the social and economic injustices that have marginalized Black communities and led to deep health disparities. This year's theme, ¡Salud! Health Equity in Focus, is a salute to our host island, Puerto Rico. It signifies The Center's focus on the health and well-being of all Black people.
Within our Institutional Injustices, Economic Barriers, and Wellness & Chronic Disease Disparities conference tracks, we offer stimulating panel discussions, engaging breakout sessions, and networking opportunities for attendees. We also partner with and support local institutions and businesses. The Center is a high-integrity public charity, and all money generated by our event goes toward the implementation of our proven framework for policy and social change.
